I loved the segment with Tomi Lahren because it showed that Trevor Noah has truly grown to fill Jon Stewart’s shoes and in some ways has surpassed his abilities as a pundit. Noah had as much bite as a wet noodle when he first started, but with the Lahren interview we saw that he has skill and now his own style. The phrase “sunlight is the best disinfectant” comes to mind. From the moment that Lahren stepped onto the stage, it was clear that she was horribly out of her depth, just from her body language and her nervous comment about being in the “lion’s den.” Noah didn’t even have to open his mouth. He could have just sat there for 15 minutes and watched Lahren demolish herself, such was Trevor’s power.

Totally agreed with you that the thought that it was an excellent example of “respectful debate” is garbage. That is infuriating. But if you ask me, there was no debate. It was a landslide!
